“Last summer we received the strangest call ever…”
That’s how my interview with the great Sergio Bocconi for Corriere della Sera started. In fact, it was a year ago that I told the story of my incredible experience at Centro Conservazione e Restauro “La Venaria Reale”where I witnessed the passion and pride, together with the high level of competence, that Roberta Genta and Paola Buscaglia held for their work, topped off with their lovely smiles.
Let’s get back to the strange request of the call: A stretcher to move a lady called Taririt…Nothing unusual so far, you might say… But the lady in question was a 2,800 year-old mummy!!Without a doubt, the oldest patient (sorry Taririt ????) Ferno has ever rescued. Obviously it required the utmost attention and care. The operation was made possible by our Scoop EXL and Taririt travelled first-class from Museo Egizio in Turin to an exhibition at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil in Brazil.
What a wonderful experience it was taking care of Taririt, a regular patient, who was just slightly older than the norm !!
